The WebLOAD Multimedia Add-On provides performance testing of multimedia web sites, simulating the behavior or real-life users in its load-testing and generating a realistic usage script. WebLOAD can generate multimedia usage of textual, graphical and video streaming, simulating end user browsing. It is important to note that the aim of the WebLOAD Multimedia Add-On is to test the applications with their embedded streaming rather than the streaming server.
The WebLOAD Multimedia Add-On supports different streaming servers including the popular Helix Server based on the RTSP/RTP protocol.
WebLOAD`s efficient load generation technology enables simulation of hundreds of streams from a single PC machine. The test can be performed against the streaming server directly or routed through a proxy server. The WebLOAD streaming load Add-On supports running load through NAT (NAT traversal) and can simulate different clients/media players.
