Goal-oriented
The goal-oriented test is a unique WebLOAD feature. It enables you to devise your test to reflect the real way in which you want to see your application's performance. Many times, you don't know the number of clients that will access your application, but you do know the quality of service you want to provide. Rather than running multiple tests to measure the performance at different loads, you can run the goal-oriented test once, and discover the number of concurrent users that your application can handle before compromising your service levels.

The goal-oriented test enables you to specify the performance goals that you want to achieve, and WebLOAD automatically schedules a test to achieve the specified goals. For example, if your performance goal is for your application server's response time not to exceed three seconds, the goal-oriented test devises the test for you. The goal-oriented test tells you how many users your application server is able to accommodate without compromising your service levels.
