NEW PRODUCTS FROM RadView SOFTWARE GAIN CUSTOMER APPROVAL
Customers Find Value in JavaScript Tools, Powerful Functionality,
Script Sharing and Ease-of-Use
BURLINGTON, MA – October 30, 2003 - - RadView™ Software Ltd. (Nasdaq:
RDVW), a leading provider of solutions for verifying the performance,
scalability and integrity of business-critical Web applications, announces
several customer purchases of the latest RadView products. These customers,
including companies such as BlueCross BlueShield of Tennessee,
GiftCertificates.com, UNICON, Inc., Morningstar and Sanchez Computer Associates
Inc., use WebLOAD 6.0 for multiple key testing initiatives.
The business need for an automated load/stress testing methodology for Web
applications drove BlueCross BlueShield of Tennessee (BCBST) to research and
purchase RadView's WebLOAD product. Trevin Bernarding's team will integrate
load and stress testing in the development life cycle to effectively test,
detect, diagnose, and report on application environment performance issues
before they become production problems.
"Given the critical nature of our Web-based healthcare applications, testing
under "real life" equivalent conditions is the only true way to discover the
limits, the performance, and ultimately, the reliability of a system without
actually putting the application into production," added Bernarding, manager,
e-Business Systems Development at BlueCross BlueShield of Tennessee. "After
evaluating RadView's tool, WebLOAD was chosen based on its ease-of-use,
"out-of-the-box" functionality, price and footprint (no additional hardware is
needed)."
GiftCertificates.com, the e-commerce site with the largest selection of gift
certificates available online, purchased WebLOAD 6.0, to test new releases and
upgrades to the site and to run "what-if" scenario testing of hardware and
software operating system changes.
"We chose the RadView products because of its Web-focused functionality, the
ability to work in the JavaScript language for both functional and load testing
and its excellent value," said Catherine Wolfe, quality assurance manager,
Giftcertificates.com. "We also believe that the RadView tools will provide a
much broader scope in our load testing than our previous tool and allow us to
quickly build automation into a robust regression suite of automated tests."
MorningStar, Inc., a global investment research firm whose mission is to help
investors make better decisions to reach their financial goals, runs a highly
successful information Website, tested by RadView products. "We have been using
RadView tools for the load of our online products and are looking forward to
using the new Visual Authoring Tool in WebLOAD 6.0," said David Bambrough,
Quality Engineer.
Sanchez Computer Associates Inc., a leading software and services provider to
financial institutions worldwide, is using WebLOAD 6.0 to stress test its
Web-based solutions. "Internet banking applications demand high performance,"
said Wayne Ross, Sanchez's systems performance and benchmarking manager. "We
rely on RadView tools to help identify any scalability and response time issues
before they reach production."
UNICON, Inc. is the leading independent provider of enterprise portal, learning,
and integration technology for higher education institutions. UNICON plans to
use RadView's WebFT and WebLOAD to test their portal solution Academus – a
Web-based, fully integrated online campus administration and e-learning
solution. UNICON's portal product is feature-rich and highly scalable requiring
flexible and rigorous testing. In the past, UNICON used a variety of testing
tools and methodologies, from completely manual functional testing to OpenSTA
for load and scale testing.
"RadView's products offer us two key time saving features: the ability to
completely automate regression testing and the ability to reuse our functional
test scripts in our load testing environment, without modification," said John
C. Blakley, Vice President of Engineering at UNICON. "These two benefits alone
will save an enormous amount of time and effort for our QA group, freeing them
for more valuable work in increasing the quality of our product."
"We are very excited with the customer reaction to the latest round of product
introductions," said RadView Software's CEO, Ilan Kinreich. "Our customers have
responded enthusiastically to the enhancements we've added to WebLOAD and WebFT
as well as to the introduction of our new product WebLOAD Analyzer, validating
our approach which includes ongoing customer input, continuing support for open
standards and delivering outstanding value."
