AQA Uses RadView's WebLOAD to Improve UK Website Performance by a 5X Factor
Rosh Haayin, Israel, October 29, 2008 — RadView Software Ltd. (OTCBB: RDVWF), announced today that the Assessment and Qualifications Alliance (AQA) has selected WebLOAD to load test its assessment support website that helps to deliver more than 3.5 Million assessments each year. AQA is the largest English exam board that provides GCSEs and A-levels assessment across the UK.
AQA's website needs to serve UK’s student and teacher population during peak assessment periods. To support the growing demand for AQA's assessment services, the organization was preparing to launch a new result analysis website with improved functionality and ability to support high user volumes.
Prior to deploying the new website into production, AQA had to ensure that the application can scale to their user volume requirements. RadView's WebLOAD was used to run load tests in which the volume of virtual users was constantly increased. During these tests AQA identified a number of performance bottlenecks that prevented the application's ability to scale. Using WebLOAD’s analytic capabilities, AQA was able to quickly resolve these bottlenecks and tune the application, improving the website’s ability to handle user volume by a factor of five while maintaining response times within the required service levels.
